Go Fly a Kite
Powered by warm Caribbean breezes, the Turks & Caicos Islands' 22nd Annual Kite Flying Competition blows into Provo on Easter Monday, April 21 in the beachfront Bight Children's Park. This full-day of family fun includes an Easter Egg Hunt, live music, face painting, games and lots of local food and drink. Prizes and trophies will be awarded in classic categories like largest and smallest kite, most artistic kite and best traditional kite. There aren't too many rules to follow but kites must be handmade and, oh yeah, your work of art must be air-worthy, staying aloft for at least five minutes. Whether you come for competitive kite flying or just kick back and watch others do all the work, you're sure to find a fun mix of locals and guests of Turks and Caicos Islands beachfront hotels.
